Gorgeous is a music video for Full Crate and Mar, built around a young woman discovering a hidden superpower.
From concept to visual story
The starting point was a simple narrative idea with room for atmosphere, performance, and transformation. I translated that concept into a storyboard and visual plan, defining the key beats before production so the team could work toward one shared interpretation.
Direction and production
I directed and filmed the project with a small team of producers and lighting specialists. The production balanced the intimacy of the central character with a more stylised visual world. Lighting, framing, and movement were used to make the discovery of her power feel cinematic without losing the human performance at the centre.
Creative decisions
The film builds gradually rather than explaining everything immediately. That restraint gives the audience time to read the character and makes the visual shift more satisfying when it arrives. The music, edit, and imagery work together to carry the story with minimal exposition.
The finished film
The result turns a compact idea into a complete visual narrative. It also reflects the collaborative nature of music-video production: a clear concept, careful preparation, and enough flexibility on set to respond when an unexpected image or performance is stronger than the plan.
